The Cross at Chris's in Cromwell

I decide to take Lionel on a jaunt for hot chips to Cromwell and to pick up a ceramic cross I bought from Octa Gallery nearly two years ago. Chris has good naturedly stored it for me ever since. The day is hot and we travel slowly, there's no rush when you're 100. I get Lionel a boysenberry ice cream and it looks like he's bleeding from the mouth after he's finished. At Cromwell we celebrate the impending end of the build and Chris carefully packs my treasure. I visit my mate Marie who makes glass jewellery and wind chimes from wire in her shed at the back. It's school holidays and there are tourists around. We visit Tui at the cemetary on the way home. Lionel's buggared by the time he gets back to his living room arm chair. News to report...Trump has got Covid.
