Flat Out Thursday

It ends up being a long, hard day. We drop the deplasticated ensuite tiles off on the way to school. Should speed the tiling team up. Kendra loves her birthday cake; clapping to put the candles out. Lionel used to make the point about people spitting all over their cake when they blew birthday candles out. We sing Ra Whanau ki a koe, Happy Birthday and leave for period 3 sugared up. I drop left overs to Pete but he's not there. His corner is coming along...there's traffic past the shop but the main door is blocked off. At the house Cam is putting door handles in- they're chrome and shiny. Not sure about finger marks but don't care.

I've bought some leftover Winkleman tiles from Marketplace. It was a front door project and I'm wondering if I can put together enough to tile the laundry steps. That's a future, when I have time to organise it, project. Next errand, concrete research. I'm getting aggregate but there are colour choices for stones and half shot dark is another variation so the concrete is not blinding in the sun. I leave relatively confused, they look much the same except Oreti which has a pretty smatter of coloured pebbles. The guy is chatty and Concrete Plus has an awesome mural. Last stop, car drop at the best mechanic in the world. I need a warrant and get a loan car. I know Neil will look after Auntie Cora, aka the Suzuki Swift. Last stop, a game of volleyball. Unusually, we win.
