Doing the Rounds

Following snow yesterday, today is mizzly and uninspiring. A good day for inside work like teaching and tiling. Rene's on site too making progress on the electricals: power sockets, fittings and whatever else electricians do to get a house up and running. Ian and the girls slap some subways up the walls, and I check in at Designastyle. Probably more from force of habit than anyway else but I figure if they keep seeing my face they'll remember the fat lady hasn't sung yet. Likewise at Lighthouse. After multiple trips, I'm still not sure I've got all I ordered, paid for and need. But they're so pleasant they'll step up when we finally get ourselves, collectively, organised. Likewise at Interior Effects. The front door handle is supposed to be there, but estimates are just that and it's still coming. So are the other handles. I go up the drive to the cast iron workshop and leave the broken claw foot. He, I don't yet know his name, puts it in his "to be recycled" drum.
