It's a day of errands. I catch up with Rene to go over the wiring...so many things in a house require electricity. I hadn't realised how much we rely on flicking switches. The weather is overcast and temperatures are dropping, so the boys are huddled inside today over their phones. I look up and see the ducting system. Wow. It takes up space and looks like it came out of a space capsule.
After school I get in the car. Lighthouse to pick up drivers for something electric, I need to contact Pete the plasterer to book in. The slab cutting company to talk about buying the Avocatus quartzite slab. I need to get a plan for the kitchen island for them to quote before they will contact CDK Stone. Kay to see how the design for the garage windows is going. They've just wrapped the laundry door glass. Pete to check on the door. They have nearly finished the round window. It's got rimu from the old house round the edges. Perfect.
Then a swim. I get home to cook port bones, open a bottle of rose and wait for Pete to pick up the slider door. He joins me for a glass. Chris's mum joins us for dinner.
