Alert Level Three

We're teaching and waiting. That life will change is obvious. Teachers are in the front line, classrooms unsafe places. No way can we physically distance. We are leaving doors open so we don't have to touch handles and wiping down computer key boards. Everyone is waiting for the axe to fall. In my not so engaged Year 10 there are a noticeable number of students away. Streetwise. They've seen the writing on the wall. At 1:45 Jacinda announces schools are to close. She could have left it for an hour. I soldier on with a power point on film techniques with my Year 11's. Habit. They're barely able to contain themselves.
I'm organising insulation for interior walls which was forgotten and thinking about tiles, plaster cornices and corbels which need sanding. I'm last out. The Janola bottle says it all.
