Loose Ends

It's not over till the fat lady sings. After school I drive all the way out to Wigram to NK Windows...again. I want to finalise framing colour, size and discuss last minute options. Tick.
When I get out of my car at the beach I have to go back for my boogie board. It's not there. I realise I left it out here yesterday. I turn the corner and there it is. Amazing. Restores my faith. Anything else I've left out here over the years is gone. Today is my lucky day.
I call in on Nicky on the way back to my place. Peaches are dripping from her tree and she gives me a bag to stew. They're super juicy. She also gives me a piece of berry pie with a polenta crust, and ice cream. This slows me down. By the time I reach the house with an evening of sanding ahead of me, I am racing against the sun. I finish in the semi-dark and almost step too far sideways and off the side where the exit is. Oops.
I go up the steps at Chris's around ten. Dinner is a corn cob.
