A day of tidying up odds and ends and making ourselves useful about the house. I'm not sure what we'll do when all this is over. People keep saying," You won't know yourself." Referring to living in a new house. Equally I won't know what to do with myself- there's a song in that. I think I'll find myself a comfortable seat on the verandah and sit down with a chilled rose, strawberries floating and bobbing against my lips. I'll need a friend or two to admire the view and reminisce about the old days when the old house was falling down round my ears.
This week Kahu and I make sure we finish on time for the rugby- All Blacks v Wallabies, Bledisloe Cup round 2 in front of a full stadium at Eden Park, of non mask wearing spectators. A star is born- Caleb Clark powers a path through startled Wallabies who slow but can't stop him.
