Union Rules

Another nor wester and another manic day. I teach period 1 then I'm in my car and out the Papanui gate. Lance is up the road at his next job and I take A4 samples of white as candidates for the kitchen joinery. We go back to Eighth Green Tea. It's a winner with the bench top sample. When I get back to school I realise I've left my computer behind so head back for a coffee and another chat. On the way to the PPTA regional meeting at Wigram I close up the house. Pete said several weeks ago that the best weather for laying the wood floor is a nor wester. Lucky, we've had day after day of them. The dryer the wood the less shrinkage once it's down. Fingers crossed. At the meeting we talk and talk and talk then go for dinner. There's something about committees. Maybe it's the companionship of the common cause, maybe it's because I get bored with TV, maybe it's because I have a social conscience....maybe I've inherited committeeism from my mother.
