A day of house stuff. I meet Rene on site to work out where to put the electrics: light switches, plugs and assorted electrical items. It's cool and threatens to rain but we get round the house. I don't need all the bells and whistles, I just need to be able to plug in the vacuum cleaner, lights for bedtime reading, for study, the TV, stereo, lamps, and appliances.
When we finish I do not pass Go and head straight to the One Stop Deck Shop. I need to pick up wood I bought before Christmas. Chris has kindly offered to store it in the garage. The One Stop guys look at the Suzuki Swift and shake their heads. This wood weighs over a tonne. Luckily Chris is amenable to bringing his Vitara down. At Chrichton Terrace, it's a backing feat to get the trailer onto the apron, but Chris has done this before. We don't muck around, the trailer has to be back at the yard before it closes. I'm ready for a cup of tea by the time it's all over. It's Saturday after all.
My social life is a hair themed 50th. I fall asleep on the couch. Happy birthday, Rachel. It's alright, I'm ok, I've just passed out due to exhaustion.
