As winter arrives we slow our lives. Not much happening except Nic and I find a house to buy in Alexandra. We discuss an offer in the $380,000's. Having organised a loan to take us to $460,000 because we thought we would need it, this is such a relief. More debt is not what either of us want. And we were beginning to think the market had got away on us. Totally exciting as we will have some money left over to do patch ups and odd jobs. Nic puts in an offer for $381,000 and we end up raising it to $385, 000 which is accepted. Now for the paperwork.
Brief highlights- visit to the Pumphouse where I got so many character bits for the build- doors, leadlight windows...now hinges so the door between the laundry and the garage closes properly. At the moment its got two old hinges and one new. During the week I visit Lighthouse where I've got two unsold lights, and Cam comes round to rehang the door, adjust Tina's wardrobe door so it latches better, and clean a tape mark off the skylight in my room. And I onsell the Marketplace garge bench.
Meanwhile out in the Covid world, the war in Ukraine goes on and we loosen restrictions for travellers. Life is slowly getting back to normal.
