The pile of dirt

I arrive in the morning to find the boys loading the Dig Out digger on the back of the Dig Out truck. They're finished. As I return in the afternoon I realise the pile of dirt I asked for, to level up the back section, is still in a big mound at the back. There's me and one shovel. Once the boxing is done for the foundation, no machinery is going to get down there. I ring Kevin but am prepared for a manual operation and bigger biceps. He appears: sage advice- wait up, there's a lot of mess to come. I'm going to need a tarp in the meantime.

I head to Nicki's for a session on kitchen design, a cup of tea and a glass of wine.
